Match Day Report

AJPL United 3:1 Opponent

Scorer: Simon, Weiming, Hui Yang

Aszmi
Stand-in keeper for the day and played throughout the match without a pair of gloves. Looked confident as he took the ball at his feet. Most importantly, he organised the men in front of him well at corners and set pieces. Conceded once but could not be blamed for it. Despite being a temporary goalie, he showed some agility to blocked 1 or 2 shots. He was also brave enough to come all the way to the halfway line just to stop the opponent’s attack. Thumbs up!

Huiyang
Played out of position, instead of the original left back, he made his way to the awkward right-back. However, he carried on where he left off last week with an energetic, composed performance. Very solid at the back and moved forward sensibly without exposing the defence to any danger. Tested the opponent with his overlapping runs and proved very effective in the build-up. Throughout the match, he looked quite comfortable and finally rounded off his good performance with a cheeky goal.

Alson
Youngest player of the team and hence he believed that he had a point to prove. He stood up to the pressure and upped his game. Was defensively sound and happy to distribute rather than plough his way forward. Won much of the ball on the left and was able to close down his opponent before the cross was delivered. Also, he learnt when to sit and when to run. A very assured display at full-back. On the whole, he had a decent outing. Never look like a 16-years old chap.

Shi Kuan
Solid performance showed by the centre-back --- showing just how much the team rates him. The defender was cool, calm and decisive with the ball as usual --- hardly having to make a tackle in the first half. Breezed through much of the game and even had a stroll up front when he played as left back in the 2nd half. Did exceptionally well in the air against the opponent, who was barging into him at every opportunity. Overall, he held the line well and dished out the orders when the team needed. In addition, he also sent a series of crosses into the danger zone

Shi Kuan’s Fren
The guy was steady at the heart of the defence and kept his focus well. He always looks comfortable beside his partner, Shi Kuan. He provides cover for the full backs when they roam forward. Though this was his 1st appearance for our team, he looked confident throughout without any nervousness. Together with Shi Kuan, both of them organised the back four to perfection. Defended pretty well when the opponent clawed back to make it 2-1. Hence, the pair was our team’s best defenders of the evening. After all, what more can you expect from a debutant?

Kelvin
Was unlucky not to score with a half-decent long-range drive. Playing out wide, he did a brilliant job to start attacks from left back position all the way to the opponent’s end. He also did a good work tracking back all evening to help out the defenders. This is a typical Dirk- Kuyt style, a player which every team would like to have. Has lot of energy when taking on defenders and showed a few fancy tricks to lighten up his performance. Drove the full back to the corner shows just how good he is.

Jian Sheng (JS)
Looked a bit nervous to start with, but stepped up a gear and scared the hell out of the opponent with his electric pace. He had the confidence to have a real go and beat defenders with his speed and some footwork. Terrorised the defence with his runs into the penalty area and earning a couple of corners, one of which resulted to a goal by Wei Ming. He could only smile in disbelief when his teammates missed a sitter in front of him. Finally, a half-volley through-pass to weiming was the main highlight of his performance.

Hoang
Destroyer, unsung hero or whatever you would like to call him. He played like he has been in AJPL shirt for last 5 years — showed sheer grit and determination. He lived up his reputation of a true defensive midfielder by stopping the opponent’s waves of attacks. Or rather, he is also known to be a versatile player who is comfortable at centre back or in midfield . On the evening, he did nothing fancy in the middle of the park and was the glue which linked defence and attack together. A couple of sliding tackles were timed to perfection. Makelele? Essien? Gattuso…? The list goes on.

Sanee
Tireless midfielder displaying some engine-busting displays. On one hand, he was helping out in the defence, then he was up there attacking. He worked hard in areas where he should not have needed to be. Kept play flowing to front two and was always around to sweep up any mess at the back which had the defence flapping. His unselfish, unsung role let Simon and Wei Ming bomb forward. Ran the midfield and opened up space for team-mates. Well, is he a DM or an AM? Who cares as long as he displayed a good performance.

Simon
Played as the supportive striker behind Wei Ming. It was a confident performance in the middle and one which will have been noted. He did ping a few classy crossfield and defence-splitting passes during the match, a Fabregas-like player. He looked out for his teammates immediately after he received the ball, just like a midfield maestro. He did his role as a 2nd striker so well by scoring a fantastic opening goal with a lobbing shot which leaves the opponent’s keeper with no chance at all.

Wei Ming
His performance speaks for him, 1 goal and 2 assists. A classy finisher and intelligent runner with pace to burn. He pulled his socks up when playing alone upfront for our team. What more can be said about him? He brought another dimension with his pace and ability to run at opponents and constantly fooled his marker. After missing a 1-on-1 in the first half, he came to life! He showed just how much threats he posed from set pieces by scoring a goal with a header. Then, he capped his wonderful performance by creating a goal for Hui Yang. There’s only one word for him, and that’s “impressive”. Match of the match? You decide.

Peck Ann
A midfield general with great composure. He tracked and checked on opponent’s attack. Always opted for the short pass which retained possession rather than the 60-yard defence splitter. He made the whole midfield as though is his, so dominating! For some reasons, he was shifted to the centre-back towards the end of the game, BUT, this does not stop his dominance. He kept the door shut at the back and was glad that we found the killing goal. He gives us a food for thought on who should start next week. Definitely a contender for the first XI.

Fred
Looked lively when coming on at halftime. He showed greats touches and skills and was good at controlling high balls. Was always alert and knows where his marker is. He is a intelligent player as he drew his marker away which gives his counterpart(WeiMing) lots of freedom and space. Just after he came on, he settled into the game and linked play very well. From his first touch he looked like a veteran rather than a rookie --- what a promising player he is!

Referee
Poor performance by the ref, gave a 'ghost' goal and disallowed it again -.- Allow play to continue when the offside is so obvious. Many decisions went against us. Thumbs down!

Match Report on 15 nov

erm, heres wei ming berbartov or wei ming bo pah toh LOLs for the match report since i have nth to do at home so here goes,

ahjipalang united 2 - 0 opponent
scorer: weiming(assist by sanee), weiming(assist by simon)
assist: sanee, simon de nasri

squad de ajpl:

bram de chilavert-bramlavert or bralavert LOL LOL LOL
azmi de hyypia-azpia
weiyi de terry-teyi
huiyang de evra-huira
kim de bosingwa-kimsingwa
sanee de alonso-salonso
nabil de flamini-nabilini
jiansheng de walcott-jiancott
kelvin de rosicky-kelsicky
simon de nasri-simri
ming fei de torres-feirres
weiming de berbartov-weibartov
alson de rafeal-rason
hoang de gerrard-hoang jialat LOL LOL LOL

players:

bram: todays match he didnt realli need to pull some good saves as he will need it when against nabil's team next week...so todays his performance is as usual nothing bad but still do wat he does best commanding the back four to be solid n not give loops holes

azmi: he prove to be confident at the back today...his performance is good..everyone finds him as the sole centre back for the team as the team take another leap for good performance and he is v clear n compose at the back..provided good long balls to find strikers n wingers...almost perfect..oh ya he does have v dangerous volleys..i hope he will get to score wif his trademark volley against nabil's team

weiyi: good partnership wif azmi...everyones find his clearance n defending but especially clearance v clear cut n sharp...overall his performance didnt drop the last time he played..v confident... knew wat he was doing..my opinion, he does noe how well he he noes the chemistry of the game by heading first ball away which led to first step of building up attacks

huiyang: natural, confident, tricky, speed wat more can u ask for a left back in singapore, truly geniuene leftback played for ahjipalang...well the team next step is building up attacks tat score often..tats y confident is soooo v v impt to win strong opponents...anws today his performance is as usual..sharp n commited..a v strong character guy...noes v clear about the atmosphere and chemistry of the game v v well..

kim peng: so far he is proggressing soo well for ahjipalang...his fitness techniques attributes flexibility is building in and in and in....well all i can say is he done v well today..link attacks wif JS when he is pushing up wanting to overlap the opponent defence to create oppotunities to score..in defence he uses his stamina well..does things cleanly at the back today...really give in a 110% today... v commited guy...strong character too...but improvement can still go on

sanee: today his first time playing for ahjipalang as a centre mid ...but i think centre back for him like wasted abit coz he does has attributes as a midfield ..he noes how to find strikers n winger by picking up balls from the defence n midfield and push up and oso find players, i think this is wat the team needs ar but tats wat i tihnk la but all in all he overall performance was well...but........still we can all c tat todays as he luanch forward from midfiled to score..he didnt finish it well.. 2 to 3 or 4 chances of shot landed to the keepers hands...though is abit fastrating..but he is still all in the position to score from wat the majority of the team thinks although he nvr finish it which he should have...he still does he job well in the midfield...so no worries..still have lots of matches to prove urself as a good midfield

nabil: natural centre mid..but likes to dribble alot..when he gets past 1 he likes to get pass 2..but i think his intention is to bring the ball up just enough to find loop holes to either through ball to strikers or find shooting chances...but it didnt realli work as much though but still he did find chances to link up attack wif the wingers n strikers and got some shooting chances himself...well his performance was good especially in defensive areas...has a v good instinct or perception of defending n clear cut good sliding tackles..from wat i think..so yea overall his performance is good

JS: Theo Walcott of the team...isit? well one of walcott's trademark came to show was when jiansheng dribble almost 70 yards from our half to the opponents panalty box and den provided n deliver the ball to created shooting chance...u will be the judge LOLs ..but i think he is our theo walcott..so now, his performances, it was good... not to mention his many speedo dribbling at the right mid which fooled soo many players..but he had hope for some shooting chances today but didnt realli get it..however of wat his shooting chances he wants or gets, he will needs to pull some of this shooting chances to the test next week against nabil's team which it will be v crucial next week.. so JS do ur best...!!!!

Kel: the opening half...his performances..he gets it right ..v tricky winger..he noes who to get in the dangerous areas on the left..but he likes to passes it around when he gets holds of the ball...Arsenal stye...lols yea he is a arsenal fan and yes, we play like arsenal..his overall performance was good and all i can say is he is a natural striker so i think his playing style n performance was in place...

ming fei: aka torres today wasnt his day though like the real torres is today, oso not in good form...but his overall performance was good..he does his job..a v commited guy and likes to do things perfectly on the pitch...but in the end of the day it is not realli wat he yearns for..but he still can pick off where he left from ..like his usual form..however he still get chances for himself...don worry ming fei some times football is just like this..i noe is abit fastrating but is like onli 1 match tat is like tat. is not always like tat...u can do it... so his overall performance i think we will all agree is good..

weiming: well he score 2 goals...all i can say to myself is next week i will be tested against a stronger opponent..so i have to face this opponent n test myself giving in my 110% for u guys
..overall performance ok la..oh ya erm i think i should lay off some fancy-fullness at times....but dono y i have this strong gut feeling tat ahjipalang will be stronger n scoring flooding of goals..lols so keep it up guys !!! :)

simon: aka simon de nasri lols...today i can c tat he likes playing free role today when ming fei was not around...but all in all his performances was fantastic..i find tat today he is unusually in top form especially after injury..LOLS...anws his performance is an example of modern football..he express to me tat he now likes to do more passing which i agree..he does show many passes today ..but anw today he really did a good job crossing the ball from a free kick to a dangerous area which led to a goal..

alson: well i can say is tat from wat i c ..i can c tat he has all the attributes of a all-rounded player..i need to c more to interpret his playing style but i can c tat his v direct n positive in football..so i hope to c more of him..his does show some promising potential...

hoang: well a v good mid-fielder but wat i think is tat he is all most complete player..but today abit kan chiong ar LOLs ..which all will agree...suited or born to play as a defencive or attacking midfielder..today he challenge the ball in the air well..he get the first ball..defencively he is at top notch..though he didnt realise it..we all saw a good performance today..we noe u can even do better de lo..lols the reason behind tat he find his performance not tat good is tat he noes he can do better..which everyone will agree tat this kind of player is v rare..so hoang, next match we hope to c a good performance u say u can do better wif...

ok match report ends here...but team report is here:

players of ahjipalang...i now find tat SP sports club is our main target to achieve better football...i need to say this becoz i find tat when we r facing v strong n tough opponent we tend to give tooo much respect to them....from wat i c we have quality we have the substance to beat anyone..over the months of playing don u all find tat our attacking n defends(wif azmi n weiyi) n goal keeper like bram r all n perfect?? don u guys think tat we should be the ones winning the match against SP sports club ??? wat i tihnk our perception of looking at them thinking tat thier good n giving them respect brings down our confidence..which is y we lost to a team tat relunctantly find our team weak..taking all possible possesion n loose balls around the pitch due to the lack of confidence of first touches..although not to mention the line-up on tat day...if we could to improve on our killing touch n confidence over every weekend from today den im sure u guys could win against SP sports club any time any where!!!!....

Match report for 8/11/2008

Match report, so let get down to business.. Firstly, lot of our players nvr attended this match and we fight this battle with 10 men or should i said with help of several kids. Haha, nevertheless AJPL nvr say attitude is our 11th men..

AJPL United 2-2 Opponents
Scorers: Ryan, Simon

Kim Peng #18
Awesome performance by our regular right-back, playing with an injury but give his best for the team. Unsung hero with lot of vital save and brave one-on-one with the opponents strikers. His bravo saves inspire our team and believe this is a chance of winning. Definitely, earn my vote for the man of the match. Hope he will recover soon from injury

Huiyang #3
Aka Evra in our team and truly lived up to the reputation, awesome with his overlap and make the fool out of the opponents wingers hence coordinating well with his flank. Make several dangerous corner and cross into the 6-yards box thus creating lot chance for our team. Although, his fall caused the 2nd goals at the very last minute but his commitment for the team is priceless which is the kind of player we need.

Jul #23
Arrived late at the first-half but what an impact he made. Solid at the back although he is a midfielder and able to adapt the pace of the game. His present ensure our team stable defending and formed a strong-partnership with Peck Ann. Hopefully, he will produce the same type of performance on next match and I clearly believe he is capable of doing that.

Peck Ann #15
Played out of position, without him at the back. We might already lost the game although he arrived late but his influence at the game is vital. Control the tempo of the game and made some vital tackles at the back. Awesome overall performance by our aka denlison. An outstanding performance by Pecky although he ps us during the lunch!

JS #11
Played out of position at the 1st half, and what a performance by JS. Able to use his speed to win the ball for the team and made a amazing 40-yard drrible only being brought down by the dirty tactis of our opponents. At the 2nd half, play back his usual winger position and produce a quality performance by switching flank to his fellow winger Simon and made some wonderful superb run on the opponent full-back.

Simon #16
Played out of position at the 1st half and help the team at the back. His chip-through pass to Eric almost open the scoreline for AJPL hence at the second half, play back the winger position and made some clever run behind the oppoenets' backline. Capped his performance by scoring a superb chip from the through pass from Berbatov.

Wei Ming #10
Our sole striker at the 1st half and worked his sock for AJPL, his superb dribbling skill fool our opponents defenders. Unlucky not being at the scoresheet but capped his performance with 2 assists and what a performance from aka Berbatov. As usual, his skill and speed prove to be vital for AJPL and form a deadly partnership with Ming Fei. The one that really made a difference for AJPL, definitely the contenders for the man of the match.

Ming Fei #9
Played out of position and an commanding leader at the back. Helped the defenders out by taking some amazing goal kick. The leader at the pitch that encourage his teammates and inspire us almost to a victory. Nevertheless, play as sole striker at 2nd half and capped his inspiring performance with a cool finishing from our aka Torres. Overall, perfect overall performance from him. My bet for the Man of the match

Credit to those kids tat help us, they are awesome and shammjungan and co for helping at the last minute. Hopefully, this will not happened again as is not a good feeling being so many men down. Please come for the match if promised or contact us that u cant come at thurs or fri to spare us time to find players to replace u.

Soccer is a passion and commitment sport. If unable to come is alright, we playing for the fun and passion as well as bonding, let face the fact if not soccer would we know each other. So hopefully through this sport and our aka club AJPL united enable us to make more new friends and strengthen our priceless friendship. AJPL UNITED!!

Match Report o1 Nov o8

yay its the match report again... ytd match against sp sports club @ singapore poly
Result:
Sp Sports Club 3 - 0 AhJiPaLang United

yes, we lost... but its was a good work out for our lads... no doubts that they were stronger, we wun make excuse that they had 4 sp sch team defenders... to take positives out from the game, they did not really owned us, we got a fair share of chances, hit the post twice and created many openings... unlucky... anyway opponent was the best we had since forming the team.. good match and we can learn from this game yea... players get emotional during the course of the game but off or on the pitch, we are still great buddies yea! and just a side note to the team, me and simon really think we should play short passes and not hold on the ball for too long. Take time to adapt la, not expecting huge changes in a short space of time... work on it yay! anyway good job to the 11 who played ytd including myself!!! ahahah... see you guys next week! have a great week!!!

next week thrs a match, waiting for confirmation of opponent, so guys just make urself free on sat, o8 nov 2oo8, 5-7 p-m ... just to be safe... pls tag on ur availability... thnx!
